Here's to the invisible heroes

We are all celebrating our “Warriors in Scrubs” and yes, they deserve all the praise they are getting. They are working tirelessly to battle this virus that has somehow been unleashed. (Who and how is irrelevant now, believe me!) Whether it's at control centers or in the hospitals or out there taking samples, we see you and we appreciate you.

But I am going to devote this post to the unseen warriors. The ones who don't wear scrubs, but lab coats and protective gear and who work in labs and on drug production lines to ensure that we all get enough medicine to slow this virus down to the point where our bodies can take over. I'm going to salute truck and courier drivers who go long hours delivering those supplies to the various hospitals. You are unseen and maybe unknown, but so very, very important.

And to all the medical researchers world-wide who are studying this particular outbreak to find out the weak spots and the mechanisms of how this molecule operates, also a special big hug. Because that's how you battle viruses. There are no cures for them. The only way is to help the human body battle the invasion, either by boosting the immune system or slowing down or disabling the virus (or both) and letting the lymphocytes do the job they like most – killing foreign bodies in the body! And a limping enemy is easier to shoot down.

As for the rest of us, STAY AT HOME!!! Don't make the job any harder for these people who are already operating on fumes and prayer. They don't need us in their way.
